Christmas windows have arrived!

Retail workers everywhere will know how we feel when we say Christmas actually starts in the summer; months and months of preparations and planning go into making the shop feel festive and magical and oh, it feels great when it works! We at Williamsons take pride when dressing our windows-they’re effectively our front cover-so we have to get them right. They need to promote stock, advertise our services, look interesting but not over-filled and feel inviting for our customers all at the same time. Throw in the task of appealing to the Christmas masses and you have yourself a rather large challenge! (A challenge we enjoy, but a challenge none-the-less).

This year we opted for sophisticated greens, creams and neautrals; these colours never fail to create a cosy and inviting atmosphere and we believe that’s exactly how a haberdashery should feel! We’ve made decorations, christmas bags, candles, baubles, macrame ornaments, garlands and even a limited edition, original collectable Williamsons Bear, William who is made from our finest William Morris fabric. After five hours of cable-tying, threading and wrapping, our windows are finally finished!
